To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

I agree with you, it is flattering to get nice comments sometimes. Besides, I think without some of the artists that make the charts (like you) it wouldn't give any of the up-and-comers something to aspire to. a scintillating & beautiful painting, mina...Your forest glistens, and it could be snow or just lights painting the landscape; you did a very sensitive job weaving lights in and out of the branches and sky; and your textured cosmos (with your usual shimmering orbs) feels like sky but also the interior of the soul. The palette (blues/blue-greens/whites) makes the woman's gown stand out all the more; while the presence of (I assume) the raptor—the bird of great power & presence—cuts deeply, the feather being a revelation, making the 'gift' both sudden and very palpable.
