Perhaps it's time for the whales to do the slaughtering... if only in some Japanese dreams... a hauntingly surreal image. A Favorite certainly. seth

so glad I found this before signing off...it's so striking Mandi. I looked at it a few minutes before I could comment. It's very simple, but it's also complex; I just don't know where you find these images in you, but they come out as if they were there all along, etched into some library of 'truth'. I love the panels behind, and that reflective undulating green (some panels even look metallic, literally reflecting). And the whaleheads somehow fit, though I couldn't say why; partly from the undersea greens; but it's just the organic flow of thought & memory...But what you do with their surroundings: those wonderful buckled textures, like topographical maps or dried riverbeds or the furrows of an elephant's skin...just exquisite. It's one of those image you do that defy explanation but feel right, from the start. It's beautiful, and a fav.

Great collage Mandi - deceptively simple and yet very complex. Beautiful, dark work my friend.

Beautiful work! Perhaps these whales are some sort guardians for what is hidden behind the vertical walls. Splendidly done!

It reminds me of the embryonic stage of the alien... also 'Turkey Day'. If Turkeys looked like that no one would dare eat them. Whales too need to find more aggression in order to survive. Sad really.
