Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

12 hours? were you driving all the way? thats longer than it takes me to get to John'O Groats from where I live. I love to see fishing boats like this, I am always watching the Deadliest Catch on Discovery, the crab fishermen in the Arctic Circle. I always head for the docks whenever I get to the coast. It used to be Grimsby on the East coast and Fleetwood on the West coast but both have geared down a hell of o lot to what they used to do. Superb capture. Bravo!!!!! I hope you girls have a great Thanksgiving, I'm sure it will be fun for the three of you. Happy Thanksgiving to all our American Cousins form the UK.

I just love the thought of fresh crab. Mmmmmmmmm. Sometimes Lance goes out when they're in season here and brings me back a crab. The best part? He cooks and cleans it and brings me a little bag of crab meat!! :) (It's awfully quiet out there ... is everything okay? Do you need another cup of coffee?) LOL!

Beautiful Marilyn! When I was stationed at Paine Field, 8 miles south of Everett (where the Boeing plant now is) we drove several times to Southern California. It is a long haul!
