Description

The BAe AV-8B Harrier II is a British designed aircraft built by McDonnell Douglas. It is a V/STOL (Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing) jet. It achieves this by thrust vectoring. In the United States it is used by the U.S. Marine Corps. This Harrier is about to take off vertically. This picture was taken in Midland, Texas in September 1998 and later scanned.
