Description

Hello! Just another mushroom. I hope you like it. I know its not the best clarity, but it was the best I could do without getting dirty and wet :) I am going to visit my mom early today, so I will come back and make comments as soon as possible. Thank you for your kind comments to yesterdays post and special many warm thanks to those who added it to favs. Have a wonderful saturday. We have same grey weather as yesterday. But is is not very cold and not windy either :)

oh, this is a pleasure helle. What a strange & wonderful mushroom. They really are some of the most exotic life-forms on earth. This looks like a big pizza pie with frilly edges, or as durleyb. says, a crunchy bar, or one of those Elizabethan collars (worn in the 16th Century) or just a wonderful confection with chocolate-shavings on the sides...it's beautiful. As for you're getting wet: After the breadth and scope of this series, you have the right not to drive yourself crazy. More lovely work from this series—I never tire of seeing these. This is lovely. Much good healing to your mom, helle. I hope she's getting better and is comfortable while she does...

Helle, what a privilege to view the mushrooms. You have taken us from the beginning of their growth to what now looks like an aging mushroom. There are layers of its life shown in its edges, and I can't help but draw a parallel with humans, and the wrinkles that market the layers of one's lifetime. Time condensed in you photograph's gives a peek at the drama of life's cycles. Beautiful work Helle.

Nice, but I have no guess -- maybe a Cortinarius.
