Hello ! Here the weather is so gray, so I thought about how it was in the summer. I found this image with a (what we here call) sand-whasp. Dont know what it is called in english. Thank you for your kind comments to yesterdays post and special warm thanks to those who added it to favs. :) I wish you all a wonderful sunday. Severel of you sent kind wishes for my mom. Thank you so much. She is ok, but not much more, but I guess that is what we could expect in a situation like this, with a lady at soon 96 years of age. I am not very happy in these days, as you can understand. I feel so helpless and hate to see her like that.

a stunning macro helle, with the wasp's body looking almost like ceramic or glass. You even caught its bristles in the mid section; and its legs are like pure plastic or a dark porcelain...An amazing shot, you have an amazing eye for these things. It's a revelation to see an insect like this. My heart goes out to you, for your mom helle. I know it's very hard to watch her be unhappy. I wish her recovery & you peace of heart. I truly hope she gets better soon...many hugs...

Many continuing good wishes for your mom and the family in a difficult time for all. Decisions are hard, as is watching the changes. Adjustments take time. Your macro is so interesting. Such a long tail (?) that I wonder about the mechanics of keeping it all in the appropriate attitude for flight. It looks like it would drag.
