Description

Hello people, hope you're all enjoying your weekends. I can't really say I've had chance to do much but work for the past 5 days solid on getting ready for an event next week in which a number of my prints will be exhibited.. right now number 35 of an intended 50 is emerging from the printer so plenty of work still to be done before designing the advertising poster and then helping print the work of some other photographers involved! So far it's been a very educational experience but should be great fun on the night, with poetry readings, live DJs and two bands during the course of the 10 hour event... just gotta make sure we work our butts off to make it all come together!! Part of the focus will be on b&w photography, so with that in mind I decided to see how my previous post would look without colour, and after plenty of tweaking, dodging and burning, I got a result in A3 print I was very happy with... personally I prefer this shot in monochrome and thought it was worth reposting (first time for everything!). And on the final day of the month I'd just like to again thank the staff for the honour of November's gom, and all of you for continued comments and support.. I wish you all a more relaxing Sunday than it seems is in store for me..! Adam (P.S. how's the title? trying to avoid using the word 'sunset' in any titles for this event)

Looks great! The hardness and softness of the scene blend together nicely. Good luck getting everything together, it sounds like a big project!

What a powerful image! I can't really tell where the ocean ends and the Earth begins.... a really great shot!

The title is perfect -- it draws attention to the lines of the rocks, which are glowing in the receding light (see, no sunset there either!) I like both versions, but this one might be slightly ahead of the color one in my book...

I have to say that the fear of prepping for a showing of my work makes me more nervous than the rejection of my work....is that fear of success? I wish you much luck at your show :) I liked them both but I think I agree that the black and white works a little bit better. And the title suits it perfectly. Great image!
