Movin On
As I spoke
I could see myself
Walking down
A long wide
Wonderful path
I felt a weight lifted
From my shoulders
From my very soul
It’s not easy
Giving something up
Something
So good
So bad
So truly a part
Of my life
It’s time though
To walk down
That new path
To see what
Might be there
Who I might see
Where I might go
I’ll take that
Little bitty
Teeny tiny
Baby step
And those steps
Become great big
Giant joyful leaps
And I’ll move on

no one knows the answer to whether the path diverges as wide and narrow or if the wide one is over there just beyond the bushes parallel to the narrow one. I'll just sit quietly on the stragglers bench and watch the world pass me by. There goes a worldly siren,now.

Ooh, I like this quite a lot...baby steps are always the most unexpected things around...they're harder to take than anyone wants to admit, and they're also among the biggest steps we can take. Fantastic work, as always, and I love the image that goes with this...it's so fitting, but it also stands on its own, adding an extra dimension that invites further exploration.

lovely work, marilyn, you really have a way with the small line, you know how to pace it, you have an intuitive sense of how each line is a little cell to itself and you keep the flow moving from one to the next. Captures, in little breaths, the sense of leaving something behind & embracing what's ahead, and being wholly centered while doing it. It's lovely. And I agree with chip, the visual is wonderful too—you did really nice things to it. Could be an upload of its own...
