Hi, I'm Marilyn. ĆĀ I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. ĆĀ It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. ĆĀ I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. ĆĀ Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. ĆĀ Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! ĆĀ Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. ĆĀ You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. ĆĀ Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

It looks like a very elaborate toaster maybe for frozen waffles. Not much goes on until the temperature dials rise.

A tricked out toaster I think.....but hmmmmmm I seem to recall seeing a similar thing.... the wizard in Oz had it behind his curtain.

Gotta be a toaster

I'm with the toaster theory, but it has individual controls for one or two slices, it looks like the right hand side gets more use than the left. The scale is slightly discoloured on that side and there is one light lit, I think I can see tiles in the background which would suggest a work top. Yes an individual control toaster; thats my guess. It can't be a graphic equaliser, the two big sliders don't look right, I don't know why it has so many buttons though. Excellent 'what am I' image, I can't wait til tomorrow. Bravo!!!!!

A toaster of antiquity, I suspect. I like the lights and dials in this shot.

I was torn between toaster and radio, never having seen a toaster with so many buttons, but there you go, I haven't seen nearly everything there is to see in the world! Great one!

I know exactly what it is! LOL! Great shot.

It does look to be a toaster. And one I'd love to have!

I have that toaster but you made it look a lot better than mine does! great shot!

It's either a toaster, or a set of controls for a warp drive but I'll stick with the toaster answer. It's a great shot, wonderfully lit. The amber quality of the light is fantastic, and I love the way it sets the visual mood for the entire picture. Great stuff!

(warp driveālol!!!) Ok, I had a toaster like this, so I knew what it was too. But it doesn't matter, because the shot makes it look like a 50's space-movie spaceship controls, or else an old sound mixer (yeah, I worked with 'm) or even an old radio dial, though why it has two sets of meters would need some explaining. Fun shot, and you caught the curves & light of the thing well. It's a great looking contraption, and it should pay you royalties for showing it off so well.

I say a toaster - and a vintage one at that. You cannot fool us who are "older than dirt." ;o)

Does it butter the toast also?!?!?
