Description

Ventured out today, just me and the camera. Went up to Whitworth, Rossendale. (Lancashire) Walked around the streets and back streets, Whitworth is a small town with not many modern shops or buildings. Much of it hasn't moved with modern times. Evidence of the old Fabric mills still stand. This shot is from a demolition of one of the Mills along Hall Street, the rubble of red brick caught my attention and I snapped away, mainly because there was a solitary tower standing alone among the piles of debris. I'm not familiar with the area so I don't know the name of this old mill. After viewing back home I noticed the sign on the wall so I zoomed in and cropped. Thanks for dropping by.....Alan

Is that where this fire gets out? I like the green sign top middle Alan, fire exit left, and fire exit right, it stands to reason you can't go straight ahead there isn't a door there. This shot is a bit hot to trot. #;0) I can't remember any of the mills up there apart from Facit Mill, although I was on a demolition crew for one of them, we didn't knock the mill down just scrapped all the machinery, it was used for something else after that. Excellent capture, with a fun ellement as well. Bravo!!!!!

Ha, hot one Alan! Now, the sign I like is directly below the open doorway...about seven or eight feet down that says, "No Smoking". Bill
