Description

Originally this was taken simply as a quick snapshot of the white yacht. Glancing at it again the other day I noticed the four gulls paying no attention to all the business going on around them. And with the Christmas season approaching, the tune of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" popped into my mind...hence the title... Do you recall: A Partridge in a Pear Tree; Two Turtle Doves; Three French Hens; Four Calling Birds... How about the rest of the words? Bill:)

There is a lot going on in this image. The tuna have the edge and the swordfish will finish it.

Yeah Bill, Do'em all. I have the swans, well actually they are geese, but you can photoshop them into a passable state. Great shot of The 4 calling Birds Cheers and a Pat to Mandy, Skipper62

Stellar clarity and vibrant contrasts in this wonderful composition, Bill! Fascinating that the gulls are all equally spaced. For the words to the 12 Days of Christmas song, go to: http://www.41051.com/xmaslyrics/twelvedays.html

Great scene, it is amazing how little notice gulls take of humans and know exactly when there is a tit bit around and then they appear from nowhere.
