Excellent composition. I like the way you divided the picture into to sections. One active ( dancing ) And one passive ( sitting ). Nicely done.

Very interesting. See this isn't a photograph and you've employed 2D and that is still a mystery to me but I like your outcome. Keep them coming. Bill

This is utterly fascinating, especially since I'm listening to the soundtrack to the film, "Frida" as I look at this. The effect is astonishing, though I have to say that your work, on its own--without musical accompaniment--is always superb and wonderfully moody and this is no exception. There are numerous stories in this image, numerous texts and subtexts to be read and all of them intrigue me. I love the composition, the references to both life as it's lived AND history. Superb work!

A wonderful tableau, and I love the title. Nicely done!

The people look ceramic in a way, or like some kind of statues, especially the man facing the woman (the light on his head brings out a ceramic quality to his skin). And that head facing us reminds me of images from science fiction or even horror stories. The image also has a feel of the revolutions of the early 1900s (don't know if that has anything to do with your title), like Russia during the revolution. And the backdrop is quite painterly. A very fascinating collage, filled with untold stories and leaving us feeling like we're eavesdropping on a particular place & particular time, we're allowed a glance and then we have to walk on filling in the rest of the story ourselves. I like your 2D work alot, Nikolay; it has the finesse of your photography, but it's painterly as well. A really suggestive collage...

Very intriguing work - Joseph Campbell called on the contemporary artist to create mythology anew from their own artistic force, as the West had so diluted and rendered empty it's inherited mythos. How the figures are posed, the 'veil' over half the field, those eyes staring at the viewer on the left, this just all works once seen - must have been a joy to do this.

To me, it's different ways to rest, for one it is being social and dancing, or interacting with other people, to another it is to sit alone and let the mind rest, letting it take in the surroundings without thinking, meditating perhaps on sounds and activities surrounding .. Even the rebellious need to relax both physically and mentally
