Description
Taken at Annapurna base camp - 4100 metres in Nepal.
There are prayer flags all around the base camp and these are put there to express compassion to fallen climbers.
The mountain in the left background is Ghandarba Chuli - 6249 metres, and the mountain on the right is Machhapuchhre - 6993 metres, which is sacred. Machhapuchhre is also more commonly known as 'Fishtail mountain'.
Regards. Shaun.

Fantastic image Shaun. I love the colored flags etched against the white snow. I only read those heights and am short of breath!!! :)

Superb vista of the Himalayas, the roof of the world. Not everyone has this opportunity to reach the base camp, and this photo is worth a lot to me.
