Description

Today I was driving a back road and my Boss was riding with me. He spotted this buck on the run across a hillside. I went a few hundred yards down the road and got turned around. Came back and parked, scanning the woods for the deer...nothing. I took my camera and walked up the hill until I found the track. I walked cautiously along the side of the hill following the trail. About a hundred yards up the hill side I crested a ridge and looked to my right. There only a couple hundred feet away was this magnificent animal - watching his back track to see what was following. Three more days and he will have eluded the hunters here. Hope you enjoy the photo as much as I did getting it. Best to all -GB-

Amazing! I thought they looked at the calendar and didn't allow photos until hunting season was over. They definitely know where they're safe and not, if you don't count roads.

gg pigtails, I am sure your Dad will be searching for that deer until friday afternoon. I was glad to get photos of the buck out in the woods instead of from the roadside or the truck seat. It was fun- a once in a lifetime event for this area.
