Description

Hi everyone, Thank you for the comments on my photo from yesterday. Here is one last look at the deer. I was thrilled to be able to track him on the snow and capture these photos before he ran off. Just had to share with you his parting from me as well as his curious look. I looked at the data on my photos and there was exactly 32 seconds from the first photo to the final of the five shots I got. Best to all -GB-

Great shooting GB. This deer is "high tailing" it outta there! Their natural camouflage is pretty effective isn't it. Were you wearing bright or dark clothes yourself? Bill

Bill, I was not dressed for stealth but in blue jeans , a red and white checkered shirt and a green and black vest over it- having been to estimate work at a doctors office. Not in outdoor wear - especially footwear. Luckily the snow was soft and no crunch under my feet to alert the buck. I guess he is 4 or 5 years old. Thanks for the comment and interest.

He's a magnificent creature and apparently a wise one on the run. You have done a wonderful wildlife documentary moment in time.

Very cool to see these two side by side. Gives us a better view, Nick and I thought him to be only about a 7 or possible 8 pointer, but with these two you can clearly see he is a 9? Good luck to him, like you said in a couple more days he will have made it another year, and just think what he will look like next year. I dont know about the rest of the folks here on renderosity but I can definately say for myself and Nick that your photo efforts are very well appreciated. You have a very wonderful and creative eye, we look forward to all that is to come!!!

some stranger I was talking to in a park this morning was saying how his 16 year old daughter shot her first buck.he was so proud. all I could say being polite was that is nice. actually I was not feeling nice. I think they should be shot like you done only except when needing food. never for sport and to hang the antlers in one's house is nothing to be proud of exceptional captures
