Description
This is from my local nature reserve. It is not that exciting but I found the way the snow had formed strange patches on the surface bizarre.
The ducks always seem puzzled by frozen water, and gather around the bit that is still open.

That's the main source of food for them, so there's no wonder why they get puzzled when the lake is freezing... Geese are not shy, they're coming to town before Santa does! Great view, excellent shot!
