I'm retired, but so busy I haven't posted anything in a while. When do work, I mostly use Carrara 8.5 Pro and Daz Studio for composition and rendering, and Fireworks and Photoshop for postwork and textures. I'm more a storyteller than an artist: I like scenes that tell a story -- or strongly suggest one.
I live in Sacramento, California USA with my wife. Kids are grown and gone, so we volunteer at our church, and travel as much as time and wallet will allow!
I REALLY appreciate the many great artists here who have been SO wonderful with their encouragement and pointers. PLEASE comment or just say "Hi". I appreciate your words good or bad: It energizes me, grows me - and keeps me going.

You have no reason to be UNHAPPY with this scene. It really conveys emotion, and the townspeoples' faces are very expressive! Beautiful work!

Great job Larry and I must say you set this scene up perfectly as their expressions leave me eager to see what is in store next. Superb buildup in the writing also and the shocked looks will stick with me

I have to agree with everyone above, the expressions are terrific! My favorite would be the woman on the far right. Excellent work!

Good face expression. Well done.

The clothes could perhaps do with a bit more texture and detail, but I love the expressions - the way that the women look frightened and the men look more courageous is great! (if possibly a bit sexist...)
