Description
BUY THIS CAR!!!
Fifty-ninth in a series of classic vehicles, captured 9/21/08, at the beautiful Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, held annually at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in overpopulated Southern California.
For more information on this event, see my posting for 9/28/08.
First photo a very inadvertent capture, and I realize now that I could have done a better job. Hindsight is always 20/20, but when you're out there after two or three hours of hiking around, bouncing off huge throngs of onlookers, and hyper running on fumes while trying to take magnificent shots, then anything may occur.
Are those gold plated rims I see?
Second and third shots are of the rear engine, which I found most unique.
As always, better viewed full size.

Thankx for clicking on, and have a tender Thursday.

Now we are talking real wheels Harry!!! What a fantastic work of art... Sleek, sexy... just perfect... I love this car! :)

It was not just a rear engine it was a "sidewinder" transverse V-12. 180 mph is not 200mph but this was still 1971 and we are not at Daytona, Bonneville or Indy. Did they really go 155mph on the Autobahn back then, back there? And on the Autostrada?

You are the greatest. 5+.

It's got 12 microphones under the hood! Very shiny and attractive vehicle, and as always your shots are great!

Wow! 12 Velocity stacks. I dunno, if it was me and that was my engine, I'd be scared to death to run it with only wire mesh between that beauty and airborn grit. That only stops rocks, nuts and bolts.

First rate Harry. Another classic to look at and wish. Bill

This, along with the E-Type Jag, is one of the most sensuous cars ever built. In the book according to Clive, that is! Cheers, Clive

Oh yuummm! Love cars with nose/bonet like this and a wonderful shiny engine speaks for its kind. Not other color then red. Fantastic capture Harry.

fascinating engine...this looks so spotless and somehow a little bit amazing with this - I guess they are - cylinders which look like outgrown saltshakers
