Description
Fifty-eighth in a series of classic vehicles, captured 9/21/08, at the beautiful Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, held annually at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in overpopulated Southern California.
For more information on this event, see my posting for 9/28/08.
Here is the old luxury auto, similar to the one I posted on 11/30/08, but for some reason stripped down to its bare bones chassis and power source.
A zoom view will bring this out in all its glory.
First photo is self evident with a various display of gauges...I assume an odometer, speedometer, fuel, oil, dynamometer, magnetometer.
Second shot is looking aft at the starboard side of the engine.
Third and fourth pictures are of the electromagnetic transmission, which, rather than being original equipment, seems to have been salvaged off the power deck of the Starship USS Enterprise of Star Trek fame.
For extensive history and particulars on this automobile, see my posting for November 30, 2008.
Thankx for dropping by, and have a hump day of unimaginable proportions.

Robert Owen was the Emergency Manager of Palm Beach County in the 70's/80's. I always wondered where the power in his name came from. Isn't there an Owen Sound somewhere. This was after Civil Defense and before Homeland Security. Also before Brahmin of Brahmin Cadillac in Broward became INS chief. The average home has only about 23kva of power. Imagine what this thing had.

Wow Harry, I'm have no technical knowledge of cars but this seems very advanced and intruiging for it's age... Gorgeous machine!!! :)

this is very odd, very "back to the future", but clearly the work of dedicated engineer and not a mad scientist.
