Description

As promised, we are going to look around this area of the falls. We are currently looking downstream and a bit to our left. As we look, we see this massive jutting of rock in front of us. Actually this is not surprising in that we're about 50 miles from Mount Hood and about 40 miles from Mount ST. Helens. So there's just a touch of tetonic activity that would push rocks around like this. It is fascinating though. What's really neat is that you can see the action of the water because of the smoothness of the rock we're standing on. If we let our imaginations go a bit, we could see the fae resting here, maybe holding their rituals, celebrating life and love in this region. The riversong complimenting their own in a joyous manner. Thank you all of you who commented and faved my previous image. You made my day. Have a great weekend Mike

Magnificent! I adore the way that this looks, especially with the moss growing. It is beautiful.

Mike I hope you didn't have to hike three miles to get to these falls like I did when I hiked to the "double falls" down in Tenn earlier this year. I was so mad to find I'd hiked down a mountain to get to see that, and would have to hike back up it on the return once I got down to it, and found it was just some water running over two rocks.

Beautiful shot, Mike! Very nicely taken and a beautiful, peaceful looking spot too. I sure could use a place like that right about now.

Very pretty place indeed, I love how the sun dapples the trees but yet there is a feeling of coolness about the place. I'm sure this would be a favourite place for the fae to 'chill out' and have fun!
