Description

Here is another favorite from September. I believe this flower is a purple aster, do correct me if I am wrong. I always get excited when I find these delightful flowers until I remember that when I see them it signifies that the end of summer is near. But I am glad that we do experience all 4 seasons here, I just wish winter was the shortest one! When I edited this one I really like the way the out of focus flowers in the background worked to enhance the subject. All softness and the slight star pattern in the background was done in camera with my Lensbaby. Only postwork on this one was to fix an errant dead petal and some slight curve adjustment in Photoshop to brighten the image and add a touch more contrast (I find that Lensbaby images usually need a tad more contrast.)
