To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

It has a sort of OTT horror feel to it that makes me smile, and I don't even like horror! :) You might not know what you were thinking when you did this, but that takes nothing away from its appeal.

Personally some of my images I think are ____, yet people seem to like them, and the reverse. You'll just have to live with the fact that many of us really like this one! I think it's great, rugged borders, use of color and spooky face - what's not to love? Good one fer'shure.

You know Mina this is just too over the top for modern Halloween but perhaps more befitting of the ancient tradition because this looks like a being caught between the worlds. Another interpretation would be a being held against his/her will and in that regards I think this should be submitted to Amnesty International for consideration in their promos... seriously.... it really evokes that fear and injustice that they portray.
