Have toyed with Terragen for a few years but lately have had little time to do anything of significance. I am trying my best to find some time for Terragen but have also developped an interest for Vue. BTW I am a dedicated Mac enthusiast !
I am always trying something new but do not seem to have the capacity to get very good at it ! Anyway I will try to improve over time and thank those that give me their kind advice !
I am french-canadian and therefore....pour les francophones du reseau je suis canadien francais et donc recevrai sans problemes commentaires ou messages en francais.
Born, raised and still living in Edmundston NB Canada and likely to die in the same spot !!!
A practicing internal medicine specialist, my principal mode of relaxation revolves around Terragen and Vue (when the job permits) ! I do however give ample time to my family before Terragen. Other than the love of my life, Mireille, I also have 2 adult kids from a first marriage and 2 young adopted darling daughters from Haiti . They will keep me young ! Have no choice !
Finally thanks to all the artists at Renderosity who have commented my works and helped me progress with my art. I will not mention names in the fear of forgetting some of you ! Deeply Appreciated !

TG2 can be pretty hard when you switch from TG0.9 but once you learned how to use it, it's a really powerful tool. Looking forward to see your next image. :)

A suggestion I'd like to make is to adjust the fuzzy setting on your layer surface(s) to obtain a smooth transition rather than a sharp one ...much trial and error with TG2 while making test renders of cropped areas to see how your adjustments will turn out. The use of image map shaders for the bare rock areas is good; but, you can control the amount of coverage so as not to have too much or too little. I'm glad to see you get started with this program Paul as it has some excellent possibilities.

Glad to see you posting again...this is much better than my first few trials with TG2...in fact...I went back to TG .9.43. Very nice image!

keep at it...you will enjoy it!!

I'm sure you'll enjoy experimenting with T2. As Bob says, transition from grass surface to fake stones is too sharp. Try pancaking your fake stones a bit more and add that shader after the other ground surface shaders so the stones sit on top of the grass. Happy rendering.
