Description

Hi Friends... Back to Swaziland tonight... This hut is rather huge but old and needs a bit of a paint job... However, the very artistic way in which it is decorated is beautiful. This is one of two similar huts that forms part of the market where the Swazi folks sell their arts and craft. Allow me also to explain the red 'ring' around the bottom. That was stained by rain dripping on the red spoil and then splashing onto the wall. Someone commented on one of my previous Swaziland uploads that the foreground (soil) was over saturated. This is actually the real color of the soil... I have never seen it quite so red anywhere else... Thank you for popping in and for your very valued and treasured comments and favs on the birthday image for Ray last night. Hugs, Carin xx

Great image here Carin. Unusual to see a "hut" with a steel bar door. Colorful decorations make it quite special. The red clay splash on the bottom of the wall is also common in North Carolina here too. Glad I don't live there...mighty hard to keep your car from turning red too :-) Bill

Wow ... somebody did a great job painting the artwork on the outside of the hut! Great shot. (BTW, I understand the soil in Georgia (USA) is quite red, as well. I've never seen it.)
