Description

I am a little bored with Swaziland for now but will return with some more images in a couple of days. For tonight I have decided on this simple yet beautiful purple Agapanthus. They are indigenous to South Africa and grow in any conditions - full sun, shade, drought, loads of rain, with love, without love... !!! Not even I can love them to death like I tend to do with so many other plants!!! And they are evergreen... I captured this in my garden one late afternoon and used a flashlight to try and get a special effect. Thanks for your click and for your valued comments abd favs on my previous upload. Take care Hugs, Carin xx

They're awesome, but I don't think they gonna be evergreen in Michigan... yuck, now we get wet snow... horrible weather :(

Flash light...you mean torch:-) Just kidding, this is a great shot. If I tried this tonight in my backyard I'd be uploading a twisted bunch of weeds. Maybe I could call that an anti-flower shot. Maybe I should try that...Hmmmm. Bill

The center of the bottom flower looks like it has a light of its own shining brightly Carin, not the one on the right, the one in the group. Superb effect, expertly captured. Bravo!!!!!

Strange, the Agapanthus we have around here must be of another variety because they don't look exactly like the above. We have white, violet and some other color I can't recall at the moment. I've posted the species on my gallery previously if you have a lot of free time and care to take a look. Anyway, the composition above marvelous in every facet of photography, Carin!

These do well in NZ too though they take a battering in the frost but I still have lots in my garden. This is a lovely capture of these beautiful flowers.
