Description
Through the Silken Air
In a land long forgotten
Among the mystics and sages
There is where we traveled throughout the ages.
It was a time of wonder
It was a time of joy and delight
It was there that our hearts took flight.
There we knew no bounds.
We traveled here and we traveled there
and we moved silently through the silken air.
Why is it that we have forgotten?
Why have our dreams been hidden?
Why have we not on a unicorn ridden?
Here and now we are open to wonder.
Our hearts spread their wings and take flight
and we shall soar through the glistening night.
We shall hear the Universe's calling sound.
It beckons us to search near and far.
Telling us to look behind each star.
What shall we find when we arrive?
I haven't a clue, but in I'll dive
for this is a most glorious time to be alive.
Sing to me my dear and wondrous heart.
Bring beauty to my mind and a song to my soul
for how can this be anything other than whole.
Down in that valley over there not so far away
there shall be an abundance of treasures
more than I can count with any of my measures.
There I shall listen to music played upon a lyre.
Oh hear my plea and sing to me my songs of old
and let me not stay from this music so bold.
Seek the glittering of gold I surely must.
I shall scour the universe near and wide
and ask for treasures upon an ebony tide.
Ah, but yet I grow slightly weary.
Would that I could but rest here a while
for surely it would brighten this tired smile.
For now I lay this task aside.
For the 'morrow brings another joyful day
and I shall surely continue this mysterious play.
'Tis good day for now that I bid to you.
We shall return again on the 'morrow
and once more this searching joy we shall borrow.
Fear not our temporary parting for it is but a while.
I will say so long for now my dear friend
'cause you and I know that this story has no end.

Thank you for stopping by to share a moment of time with me. I appreciate you viewing my art and leaving comments on my images. Each one is like a precious jewel that I will always treasure. I send a most heart felt thank you to those of you who have favored me as an artist or have favored one of my images. You make my world a little brighter and bring rainbows to my valley of life. What a wonderful gift to receive.
My wish for you this day is that you always have moonbeams and roses. I wish you moonbeams to light your way and roses to brighten your every day. Namaste.

(slowly I'm trying to catch up)...this is one of your more silken paintings (to go along with your title). It truly is silken, with undulating strands weaving in & out of each other like strands coming together and then fanning out again, and giving-out the subtlest inner light...i know that strands are the stuff of fractals, but you do them with the gentlest ease & love...The greenish-blue throughout is beautiful too (it's very restful); and in & around your orbs you have these little organic 'beings', meeting along these river-spines, all beautiful; and you've given us other hues like sprinklings-of-treats along the way. A beautiful evocation of your poem (which uses a nice rhyme-scheme and triplets, btw), showing us that it's spacious & peaceful yet filled with sumptuous beauties along the way. Gentle, loving & opulent. A loving solstice & season to you...m.
