Description
This is my first gallery post.
I started this character back in June but didn't get around to experimenting some more until September. I had a hard time deciding if I should use this particular image as I know there are quite a few technical mistakes and some missing creativeness :-) Still I kind of like the way it looks as did many of my coworkers so I figured why not. I wish I had framed in on the face a little more and made it larger, seems to look better. Just pretend shes stoned after a long day partying in the sun. I use the name Xyla Xyanide a lot while testing software, might as well do likewise here.
I'm not an artist in the least (obviously) and I just started this as a hobby in the Spring so I have a lot to learn. Criticism is more than welcome.
Thanks Trevor for the encouraging nudge and to well...just get on with it. Robyn, your enthusiasm is a great source of motivation, much appreciated. Hopefully I'll improve over time, at what yet I'm not sure, thus the WIP.

Looks great! She has stunning eyes. Never be afraid to create. Everyone can be an artist. If you have an imagination, then there you go! I am more own worst judge of my work, and that's how it usually goes. Would love to see some more work. Hope you keep up with it. Once you get use to it, it's very fun and addicting.

She looks really great. I'd use a more lively lighting. I looks a bit boring and grey. I don't use DAZ Studio, so I can't tell you which ones to use.

Xyla, somebody I could get comfortable with. I wish I could give you more artistic input. Portraits seem to be the most difficult thing to do in this medium and I avoid them like the plaque. But they are also the examples most used when somebody is trying to showcase how far this medium has come, because when they work, they really work. I am all about the story, so I rely heavily on out of the box methods, where you seem to really be delving into the nuts and bolts. I'm glad!

Xyla Xyanide rhymes with cyanide but with a slight molecular shift (I would presume) rendering her non-lethally attractive. Quite a good start and light years ahead of where I started in this. Kudos for this fine effort.
