Description
From a blend of a secret government agency and an alien technology, is born the ideal assassin...or so they thought...cold, unyeilding, remorseless....Death.
Meet Thanatos~
Thanatos (or Thane as she is most times called) was created by a singular government splinter whose aim it was to create perfect warriors, soldiers and assassins. By melding human science and technology with that of alien races was created a class of soldiers, supposedly devoid of the emotions that crippled mere mortals, they were heartless, powerful killing machines with only one intent -- seek and destroy.
Thane was thougth to be the crowning achievement of their careful programming and genetic manipulation. She is Death, incarnate. Ideally doling out that which her name implies with no remorse, pitty or reservations about her given tasks.
Before coming to the Troubleshooters she was part of a government experiment project that was kept VERY hush-hush particularly when it was seen to be failing. Even more so was covered up when the researchers and all those associated with the project started to die off mysteriously. These ‘experiments’ (of which she was the jewel in the crown) were designed to be the ultimate soldiers and weapons in and of themselves - able to deliver a ‘final solution’ resolution and walk away from the carnage unscathed. But something went wrong. Some subjects began to exhibit unpredictable behaviors - lashing out violently and suddenly becoming almost entirely uncontrollable even to their handlers.
When a few less than promising subjects escaped and wrought bloody carnage on the whole of inhabitants of a small town it was made known that something had to be done.
The project was shortly thereafter shut down and all 'experiments' were supposed to be terminated...it didn’t quite work out that way and she alone survived. The subsequent elimination of test subjects, staff and associates was also very well covered up.
What is not widely known about the ‘failure’ of the experiment, is that when those who were being experimented upon rose up against the researchers and refused to comply to commands or just outright went rogue on them. What is even less known is that she alone was the ultimate cause of the full devastation that befell the organization. In a blind, berserker rage, she unleashed the full potential and powers infused into her on those who created her. Though at the time she had no memory of what she did, she is haunted by nightmares of what happened constantly.
After coming to the Troubleshooters she has made a point to conceal as much of her past as possible - even going so far as physically eliminating any and all records of her past listed in any computer databases.
Unlike many of those who where like her, Thanatos ISm in fact, a weapon. She can draw, from her own essence, a scythe made of bone that is, itself, like a piece of steel in the same form. - she is the only one that can wield this weapon - the moment it leaves her hands, it vanishes. She can also draw bone like ‘spikes’ or needles as projectile weapons that resemble something like porcupine quills.
There is one hitch with Thane's personality, however, she dispises what was done to her, what she has become and has done. She is constantly haunted by the memories of those whom she has killed and is always seeking relief from the pain of those memories.
Only she and the part-cyborg creation dubbed "Trace" are left from this secret project that spawned them. All others, Death visited while wearing her dark shroud.

An absolutely perfect image of Thane, my dear. The bone scythe suits her much better than the dragon scythe from her previous portrait! And once again your skill at story weaving is spellbinding. Garrett and the rest of the Warriors bow down to their superior.
