Description

Rummaging around the ancient relics in my vault, I came across this early Bryce experiment. I used a painting of a tiger to generate a terrain, then manipulated the direction and elevation of the sunlight to re-create the tiger face. A square landscape portrait! :o) I also used the same technique with my new avatar (with some colour manipulation postwork). The picture I used there was from the cover of the first album of 70s progressive rock band Gentle Giant - my all-time favourite musicians. (See also Friends.) Bryce 5 (way back when), signature and resizing in PSP. Thanks for viewing and commenting, if you do. Craig thumb_1794801.jpg

very unique- I see potential for more? this reminds me of the faces people imagine see on mars. Are you trying to confuse me with different avatars?:)

Marvelous idea! It looks totemistic as if it might have been created by prehistoric mound builders. I like the texturing you did as well. Good title, too. : )

Wow...that's nifty. It took a while before I saw the tiger, but it was easier to spot in the thumbnail than on the big copy. Great work :D

Reminds me of the Elvis on Mars "photos". I like this as well as your new avatar. I should have known that you were a GG fan. One of my favorites as well. I got to see them in Philadelphia quite a few years ago. Might be cool to try this effect with the giant's face.

Absolutely stunning. It looks like a sand painting. For some strange reason I find it looks better in the thumbnail than in the larger pic! Perhaps because in the thumb I can take the whole image in in one go without my eyes moving about and thus the 3d affect is enhanced. Whatever, it is a marverlous job.

Aha! - another Giant fan exists! I spent ages trawling through your gallery (immensely pleasurable I might add) after seeing your avatar elsewhere on a comment you made. So now it's you, me, my brother and the guy who runs the fan club. That's made my day - thanks Craig!
