Description

The idea for this piece was based on a passage in a Carlos Castaneda book where his two teachers simultaneously whisper different words into each ear, which interweave to suggest a third level of reality. This piece was originally included as part of Mirrors (between Duality and Silent Conversation). The photograph was taken from my flat around the same time as I wrote this (early 1980s - see also Signal Hill). Pentax SLR; resizing, framing and text in Photoshop CS3 - no colour manipulation. Excellent. I experienced another level of reality as I read this. I'm alsoi a fan of Castenada's. I read his work in the 80's also. Maybe it shows in my work. I love the theme of duality...

This was beautifully transcribed and presented. I love a well written narrative or poem to accompany a piece of graphic and you have accomplished this with real flare in this piece.
