Description
this was an old bank built in 1923.the bottom floor is used by the newer bank next door but the upper floors are empty.Corsicana was a large town back in it's heyday of oil, but most people have moved away.Oil was discovered in Texas here first when someone was drilling for water.the first refinery west of the Mississippi river was founded here

Beautiful architecture~! A capture with character as the building seems to be projecting pride. Some coloring in postwork on bldg and sky? Nice~ Looks like a great place for some downtown condo's... renovate inside and provide money to keep up the outside~

What fabulous apartment building or condo this would make! It's a doggone shame that it sits mostly empty. I agree with efron .. I hope the first floor exterior wasn't "modernized", that would ruin the beauty of the building. And should they ever tear it down, they could not build something equal to the beauty and sturdiness of these solid and beautiful old buildings.
