"You know, when the Commodore suggested we go through Cooper's Veil, a lot of us thought the old man was crazy. Nobody'd ever navigated a nebula that we knew about. You just went around it. But sure enough, there was the primary imperial supply depot, right at the heart of it. The only people more surprised than us were the Imperials. Except the old man...he knew. They sent us in first with some Arrows as escorts. Then, just when they were recovering from our first wallop, the cap ships came in. Boy did we give those Impies heck. My Mithras never even got touched. I remember...when their defense grid fell and we just started looking for unprotected targets, at that point I looked at my navigator and she looked at me. You know, at that moment, I think it was the first time we thought "Hey! We could actually win this thing!"
