Description

Captain Kali Reece, commander of the Terran Protectorate prototype battlecarrier "Midway" was not picked for her stunning track record, or technical knowledge...she wasn't even chosen due to political connections. When her new first officer tracked her down at a house of somewhat ill repute in the slums of Beverly Hills, she was only an officer because she hadn't done anything to get drummed out of the service yet. But all of the Protectorate's experienced captains scoffed at the idea of being assigned to test a prototype ship that no one knew anything about. There was a war starting, and there was honor to be gained and victories to be won. Kali Reece got command of the Midway because she was the only one the Protectorate could dump the job on. Fortunately for Reece, the Midway was a hell of an engineering marvel and a fine ship with a fine crew. Fortunately for the Protectorate, the Midway, and it's crew, good captains aren't born...they're forged in fire. Created using DOGA-L3, DAZ Studio and a NASA file photo. Nice story and write up and blending of the NASA photo with the character and ship. Space ship design is a very interesting theory and a fun part of what exactly would combat in space be like.
