Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Fascinating texture, patterns, colors. Wonderful!

So much texture and aged patina to it. It probably served as home to many sea creatures before finding a home with you.

A strange looking but beautiful shell Marylin, it does however remind me somewhat of a skull. A skull from a strange creature maybe, no eyes but a nose of sorts and a row of teeth; Alien like. Excellent capture and presentation, superb clarity and detail with great texture. Outstanding work. Bravo!!!!! Fav.

I haven't gone shell hunting in a long time. Maybe next time I'm down the beaches, I'll pay special attention. Excellent .. Aloha

fabulous study of this shell!

Stellar portrait of the shell, which shall remain an enigma for infinity. Are those varicose veins on the side? Rub it, and you awaken the genie inside.

Great POV and color as well as capturing the essence of nature's best product, shapes and lines.

Marvelous shot emphasizing fractal form and texture in a "simple" object. Beautiful!

I love seashells! I wish I'd have saved all that I collected as a child, but my mother probably threw them all out, anyway. :*o(
