Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Fantastic capture Marylin, I love the warmth that this gives off. It reminds me of the newel posts we had on our staircase, but they were wooden. It has me hypnotised, I keep scrolling back up for another look, a wonderful spiral indeed, one of mother natures miracles. Most certainly a treasure to hold onto, I would fetch it in from the cold though, it looks like the ellements are starting to get to it. I wonder why the small fractures are that colour, its as though they have been highlighted with blue ink. Excellent capture, thanks for sharing. Bravo!!!!!

What do you mean, "getting?" I'm always that way. This would look very familiar to Alice, of Wonderland fame.
