Description

Some of you said you wouldn't mind staying in the old Georgia cabin in my posting from yesterday. Here is another view from the other end. This is a real old timer. But believe it or not, when you walk around back you find it has or had electricity. The meter is still in place. Apologize for the roof being almost blown out. Darken the roof and the rest of the cabin goes into deep shade leaving it almost featureless. Still up for staying here? ...some of the tiny, old window panes are broken or missing...needs winterization bad. Have a great day. Bill

Great. Not much of a view from the Penthouse, however. I guess you could sit on the roof and hope it didn't cave in. Down this way, they call it a real "fixer upper". Now, PJ has just finished a load or work on her house.. Perhaps if we find her quarters in the Boathouse of the other house. She might come and help redo this one. Cheers, Skipper62

Ahh yes, but what about broadband connection and cable tv. Seriously, a fine capture of a cabin that looks filled with character. Very well done my friend.

Great POV and lighting effects in this shot of the ultra rustic cabin, Bill. If you take horror movies to heart, this is the kind of environment where bloody mass murders take place.

It depends on gravity a lot for stability in a high wind. The upstairs is one I have never seen in this type cabin. Next they'll be doing it in soddys.

A little paint and wallpaper, and it'll be good as new! :) Thanks for the view from the other side. When I was looking at the first shot, I was trying to crane my neck around to see where those stairs went!

I wouldn't mind having a cabin out in the woods for week-ends. However, it would have to be fixed up a little. ;o) I could rent out the top part. Quite the character here.

The neat part is that I'll bet this cabin could be fixed up for the tourist trade. Great POV so we can see the top floor.

Oh yes anytime! It has the air of bygone trapper and hunter eras so reminiscent of various parts of the world. Excellent capture and mood.

Hmmm - not so sure about residing there for any length of time Bill, but it sure has been a wonderful cabin in it's time.... Wonderful composition and the sepia just adds to the "old" feel. Great work my friend! :)

Worth remembering, this was probabably the 'Manhatten Penthouse' of it's day. The sepia tone really adds to what is an already excellent image. Thanks Bill.
