Description

A lone ship races against the elements above a hostile, frozen planet as a huge blizzard bears down on it. Another experiment with atmospherics...the terrain is a preset texture combined with a rocky photo-texture from cgtextures.com,using a slope procedural to blend the two.Lighting is a customized preset, storm clouds are a cloud volumetric preset with minor tweaking to density and specularity.Ship is a model from previous images that I created in Bryce 6.1. It sure does look like a hostile terrain Neil. An excellent panoramic view of this planets surface. I particularly like the basic colour palette as I think it adds to the stark nature and atmosphere of this place. One gets the feeling of swirling clouds and high blustery solar winds in this one. Fabulous sci-fi work as you do only too well. Tony.
