Description

This is for my friend Deb or best known as (Suncat1). She is a really super artist who does great work in Daz Studio. I love her science fiction images and her creative ideas she has for them. Most important is she is a truly wonderful lady who has been a friend to me for a very long time. Deb is great at telling stories and has a perfect memory for even the smallest details from long ago.The way she described her family to me made me feel like I really knew them. She shared this story with me a while back about what happened to her family one Christmas so I waited to share it with all of you now. As I've learned from my nieces sometimes all it takes is one of your kids showing you how much they love you to make everything alright. My best wishes for the holidays to my dear friends all over the globe. I hope you enjoy Deb's story and may God bless and watch over you all. Dave The Christmas Star: Once upon a time Deb's parents wanted a Christmas tree. Her Dad found one by a storage building and took it home. Her Mom said it was too tall, didn't have enough branches and left sap all over. Deb and her sisters Robin and Bonnie decorated the tree to make it beautiful. Their Mom put a lovely glass tree spire on top to complete their work. During the night they heard a crash and ran downstairs. Their cat Mitzy had tried to climb the tree and knocked it over breaking her Mom's cherished tree spire. Deb knew her Mom was sad and decided to do something special for her. Deb got a stapler, scissors, paper plates, foil and tassels. Deb worked so hard to create a magical star for their tree. Later Robin brought their parents into the livingroom. Their stood Deb holding her small foil star with little tassels she had made. Bonnie was holding Mitzy so she didn't spoil the moment. Her Mom was so touched she put the star on top of the tree and it stayed there all Christmas. He is doing much better and wearing the back brace now. They have managed to stand him and with help and trying to help him to walk. Keep him in your thoughts, prayers and meditations as he is a bit depressed that he won't be able to be home with his family for Christmas.

What a wonderful heartfelt story. You recreated it beautiful in your image. It is also good to hear that Steve is able to get up and walk, even if in pain. Of course he will be depressed to miss the Hoidays at home with his family. He got hurt trying to do something nice for them to celebrate Christmas. (Poor fellow). Just let him know that the family is probably just thankful that he is alive to celebrate the holiday, in the hospital or not. There is always next year. Let me wish you, your nieces, and the rest of your family a very Merry Christmas. Wonderful render.

Did the Mom have triplets??? Cool story, I wonder what has become of that star and how long it was used... I bet a lot of people could tell stories about their tree - lol If you have a cat, it will happen... funny how the star is probably the most popular ornament, but I have a little angel ornament that has glitter on the bottem... I've had it my whole life and don't know where it came from, it was old when I got it... but as far back as I can remember, I asked year after year if I could be the one to hang it. After my Mom passed in 2001 I got it. It needs a touch up like they did on Michelangelo's David and The Statue of Liberty - maybe next year. I hope your family member is doing better.

Wonderful Christmas scene. Just spent a ton of time studying this image. You put so much detail into this. Love how the tree is slightly tilted and really fits the story. Great poses and expressions for all your characters. Love that star and I saw that you created it. Well done! Beautiful decorations for the tree - love the presents and the dollhouse you put in there. Great setting too - love the hardwood floors. And the lighting is perfect. Well done! Another great picture and this one is ideal for the holiday season. :)

Wonderful composition, Dave. Fantastic work on this scenario. Many fine details. And it is a lovely childhood memory of Deb. I think this really shows, how much, the mood of a parent, means to a child. And how kids will do anything to make their parents happy. There are much wisdom in this fine piece. PS. Glad to hear Mary's hubby, Steve is doing better.. And i do feel sorry that he can't be home for christmas. But i think the most important part is... That he did not get paralyzed, from the neck and down. Just think about what happened to Christopher Reeve. I think Steve was lucky, after all. Even lucky to be alive. Merry Christmas to you and the family.

Wonderful render and story my friend, probably my biggest love of children comes from their enthusiasm. Most seem to have a knack of turning the impossible into the memorable. Good work once again, merry Christmas to you too buddy. Now...where....did...I..put...my...fav...folder? .....hmmmm.

Its reflecting back to little moments like this, that make the holidays so special.. Its hard to keep them cats away from the tree though, our cat Raskel always goes a little nuts while we are decorating the tree, then after the tree skirt is laid out she finds her place underneath and there she will sleep for the next couple weeks, almost like she thinks we did ALL that just so she has a pretty place to sleep. haha and she is certainly on my shopping list every year I just bought her a stocking full of goodies, and a new and as Erin called it (Elegant LOL) bed, but shhhh don't tell. Lovely work Dave.

As always your stories and pictures bring out an emotional side of me that otherwise stays pretty hidden; for some reason it almost brings me to tears but I think it is not for the saddness but for the love of the children and also just for the fantastic look on the faces of the little girls. I hope you have a great seasonal holiday Dave and I wish Steve well. it is a long journey back but just to be able to stand and step is a huge accomplishment. Hugs
