I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

It looks like the tree is stuck in the mud and is reaching out for help.

So much happening here! The colors of the mountains in the background, the reflections of the sky and branches, and the countryside to the right. Great composition Carin!

It appears we have a whole club of dead tree lovers here...me too. We have a number of manmade lakes within 100-200 miles and these scenes are not uncommon. Yours is well seen and nicely composed. Bill

This is a very unique capture. I find trees quite interesting as well. Although this may look sad, I think the tree is reaching for the sun.

What a beautiful and dramatic image! The rich colors are beautiful, and the bare limbs reflected in the water are wonderful. Great capture! Oh sure ... rub it in about the pool! LOL! It's still below freezing here right now, with more snow predicted for tonight. Trade ya! :)

Looks cold and lonely like the winter weather here today. Well seen and taken, Carin.

Very excellent capture. Brings a far away place, closer!

Excellent image. So much going on beneath the surface here. More to the story, back in the past as well as into the future. These bones let me look at the character of each tree in a different way.
