Description

This morning's rise seems dark and cold As I wander frozen road Hidden well among the shadows You'll never know it's I who follows Will you look around for me Hidden where you cannot see Dark eyes watch the one within Dark goes deep without an end And in that darkness deep within A spark of sun has risen But you'll never truly know Whether I am friend or foe This morning's sunrise. I didn't think that there would be one. I am supposed to get 18 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow, so I figured that there would be too much cloud cover for a sunrise, but it proved me wrong. Sometimes it's good to be wrong. ~ Jess

oh, a dark image with lots of luminous blue, and a lot going on against that big dark sky; and your dawn colors break through gently & beautifully. Your poems are haunting & have very enticing images, and you captured the mystery of dark distant light very well in this haunting 3 stanza poem.(Some nice sound-rhyme too—i.e., 'darkness deep' [Ds], spark/sun, friend/foe, etc. The small elements that help make poems poems...) All kinds of inspiration your way!
