Hi Friends
I had such a great response on my peacock image that I placed a few days ago, that I have decided to follow it up with the full size fantail of this beautiful bird! Apart from the wall behind him which I couldn't really do anything about, I am really pleased with this image. (Do zoom though!!)

Great capture, my friend. We had a couple of proud peacocks in the grounds of the Scottish Police College when I was a recruit, in the 1970s. This one looks quite impressive too. As for the high temperatures that you and Bruce are experiencing, well I am so used to temperatures under 15C, that anything over that is just too warm. I wouldn't mind the pool though.. ;o) I'd rather have snow than sleet. Anyway, there's something magical about a crisp, virgin snow cover on Christmas Day, that just takes away your breath.. May you and your loved ones have a Happy Christmas and Good New Year, full of Joy, Peace, Wonder and Assurance that you are loved and cared for by your heavenly Father, and his Angels whose sole concern is your wellbeing, now and forever. Oh my..... it's like being stared at by a mob of aliens!!! LOL :P Very cool shot.... speaking of cool.... I'd much rather be sipping by the pool, then fixing frozen pipes, bringing in wood twice a day, and dealing with frozen water dishes for the outside animals. We had 3 or 4 days of below zero F and one day where the high was 21F!!!! But the pipes are fixed, the woodstove is glowing, and it's almost Christmas.... I'm happy!!!! Merry Christmas!!!

Stark testimony that, besides homosapien sapien, there is a narcissistic factor in much of the animal world. And, I'm aware that the male of the peacock species spreads its magnificent plumage to impress the ladies, aka peahens, so no further explanation needed there. Anyway, a beautiful and most fortuitous capture, Carin. I'm jealous. And no snow at my level, either.

Well, this proud peacock is looking for a mate for sure. Excellent capture, Carin. Yes, rub it in about it being summer in the Southern Hemisphere! We'll do the same next June!
