Description

I haven’t had much time for photography the last few weeks. I’m leaving a job I’ve been in for the last 23 years, the last 17 with my current employer. He is going to retire soon, and as I’m old; I’m not old enough to retire, so I’ve been looking for another job at 57, Hmmm. As He always does God blessed me with a job 2 weeks ago. Its closer to home and an all around better situation for me. The only thing is I now nothing about what I’ll be doing there, I really hope you can teach old dog new tricks, LOL. My last day is the 23rd and I don’t start the new job until the 5th of Jan. I should have some time to take a few pictures and catch up on comments. Until then I’ve gone back to last Saturday for this shot. My grandson and I took another nature walk in the Chickasaw National Recreational Area, and just as we were getting ready to head back to the house we ran across this little gal hiding in the trees. Needless to say Billy was very excited to be so close to a deer and she didn’t immediately run; so he got a good look at her. It was a great way to end the walk. Thank you very much for your views and comments. Merry Christmas to all my friends at Renderosity, have a great week!!

Wonderful capture! Good luck on the job, I recently began a new phase of my career at 55, and yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks, it just takes a little longer than when it was younger!

Good luck on your new job. You know 57 is just a youngster. ;o) I'm sure you have experience and expertise to do the job. Excellent capture of the doe. When we were in Girl Scout camp, they had a deer on the premises they had raised from a baby, and she had lost her mother. She was about the size of this one. The babies seem to be so tame, and us girls could pet her. Love the look on her face, as she is so calm.
