Description

I originally had a story written to accompany this render. It was about a WWII American Naval Aviator who was having an extremely bad day, but decided that any day when he could get back to his ship in one piece had to be a Good Day. Unfortunately, about three weeks ago, my main computer decided to blow both its two hard drives. I had a backup computer which kept shutting down with a slow fan message. (In fact, the fan had stopped operating.) Got the main one repaired within the week, but then my brand new higher speed modum decided it wasn't going to work either. Haven't been online until I got my backup computer back yesterday--and then only for about an hour or two. Today, using the backup, it seems to be behaving, but I am so behind. Lost all of my gallery commentaries from day one. I can retrieve most from my Rendo gallery, but the most recent ones will either have to be foregone--is that a word? --or rewritten. For those of you who expressed concern as to my abscence from Renderosity, I want to assure you that I am okay. I appreciate your efforts to contact me. Anyway, it's good to be back!!! I'd like to wish each and every one of you a happy holiday season. I'll try to create a holiday render, but it will definitely be late. As for me, it is Christmas Eve and I've got want I wanted for Christmas--back on the Net!!! Jeremy CREDIT: Vue Studio Pro 6 and Poser 6. Terrain: Wave terrain from Sea View Objects (Content Paradise). Aircraft: PBY Catalina by Aircrew, aviator, raft, and flare by Max Grueter (Google SketchUp Warehouse). Atmosphere: Cape Cod. Can't remember where I got the water texture. Sorry.

"foregone" is a word - but in this case I suspect all-gone is more appropriate. LOL.

Sorry about the computer problems. It reminds me that my computer is 4 years old and may decide on a vacation someday soon. Glad you got this one out though. The atmosphere is wonderful.

Superb work in every aspect ...except for the flare, it spoils the realism

A good picture. Stormy and misty! Good work but lose the flare! Doesn't work that well... Rob, Happy New Year, my friend.
