Description
Named for Solani. :)
Nelson Class Fast Scout, capable of Warp 10 (TOS era warp 10 was slower than TNG Warp 10).
Ship has two phasers, and improved deflectors, but it's best course of action is to avoid a fight, as it is not a warship.
Ship number falls between Saladin and Hermes class ships from the Starfleet Technical Manual, copyright 1975 by Franz Joseph, used with permission. This ship is not from that book, but I consider it a variant, even though it was originally published (Nelson Class) by FASA for their RPG. I added the deflectors, the registry and the crossbar holding the deflector units, to the Nelson configuration.

More specifically, warp factor 10 in the Enterprise and TOS era was 1000 times the speed of light. Just slightly slower than warp 8 in the TNG era which is 1024 times faster than light.

Yep. TOS warp factors were power of three, TNG warp factors were power of five. That, of course, according to Rick Sternbach's ST:TNG Technical Manual. I was fortunate enough to meet him at a party at his house as I was invited, along with Richard Hatch and some other friends of mine who worked on Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming. Rick is a very cool guy, and while I was there at his house, I got to see a LOT of fantastic original artwork. Much of his art graced the covers of Galaxy Magazine over thirty years ago. I had a lot of the books in my collection, and only at that party did I realize he had done the artwork. It was truly a pleasure to meet him, and talk Trek-tech. :) Ken
