Description

Wanting to wish everyone a prosperous and happy new year. In my case, it can only get better and I pray and hope for health in my family and in yours too. Image made in XaraXtreme4. You may notice that my avatar is different. Just for a bit. I wanted to make an animation for everyone who ever commented on any of my works but the two test ones I've made seem to be pixelated. Bunny tested one for me but couldn't get the animation to animate once she uploaded it as an avatar. I found out that's because the file was 46kb. Your avatar can only be 12 or 14...something like that. Mine here is bare bones just to get it to work. I can make them any size, for any purpose, any color, any design, any animation style (rotate, spin, pulse, etc) but if I can't get them to not be pixelated then it really doesn't matter. I'm working on it and hope for a solution by next Christmas as a giveaway. I am going to ask a favor of my friends here, and I hope it doesn't insult anyone, because I don't mean it that way. I'd like people to not fave my artwork. I truly appreciate the generous faves in the past and the happy feeling the faves gave me. In the new year I would like to kick back and be more relaxed about my postings. I don't feel that my work deserves it half the time so it is easier for me to not have them at all. Is that ok to ask? I hope so. Thanks. Lastly, does anyone know where Visionart (Normy) is? He had an illness that was in remission but I haven't seen him in ages.

Don't worry about the favs Nancy, if we want to save your images, then we will! So there! :o) Seriously, I know where you are coming from, but you have no control over who favs if a person likes the your work and they save, so be it. You come up with some of most creative, cleverly funny at times and lovely work. Let us enjoy it. The avatar works great! An a Happy and joyous and safe New Year to you and yours!

Happy New Year 2009 Nancy, kool graphic design and wussup ? (didn't get my Christmas card ?) I totally agree about the ratings and fav's, it SUCKS BIG TIME especially when artists leave two word comments on each and every single post, then rule the Artcharts...how about a panel of Art experts to judge who deserves to be there in the first place ? that's my point of view anyway. Speak to Eric (Digimon) about all things "Gif", he's a Master ! ~Cheers~ and Huggles

Avi is pretty neat! But I do miss the old one .. it always made me smile, I just can't imagine anyone taping your mouth shut, LOL! But .. change is inevitable, and if you decide to keep this one for awhile, I like it. I hope you're feeling SO much better now, and stay healthy! Belated Merry Christmas Dear Nancy, hope it was a lovely joyful one. I hate the thought of not faving your work, it's always so awesome, and sometimes fun, and other times serious, but always awesome. But if you want no faves, then I'll try to restrain myself, LOL! Big hugs ....

A lovely, colorful card. Hope you are feeling better and the New Year brings you good health and much happiness. I am always surprised by what people favor. Never really know what others will like so I try to create art that has meaning for me and that I enjoy. I've been missing Normy, too, and wondering when he will return. CC

I always wondered about the meaning behind the Gagged woman in your Avatar. Anyway, I don't fave unless I find something really exceptional, like when an artist raises the bar on their own work or something really hits home. Anyway, posting and creating art should be fun. When you start doing it to meet expectations, it stops being fun. This should be Fun-Art (abv: 'Fart') and not a chore. I'm no artist but I like making something funny or thought provoking once in a while for entertainment only. Happy New Year Nancy. (Sorry I don't know Visionart.) Hope your feeling well and best of health wishes to you and yours. Wonderful image.. Bravo and hugs from Dave :^)
