Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Outstanding clarity, textures and color tints and hues in this patch quilt array, M! Stellar all the way in this magnificent collage. It isn't as simple as placing one photo at a time. It takes minute calculation, precision and patience to create such a composition.

wow, I didn't realize these were actual gardens (even though you wrote it), but I guess it'd make sense. The thing is, they feel both cultivated & wild, as if they could carpet the earth forever. This is a lush collage, and you gave us some shots with open ground—which is nice—and even a big rock on top. You could shoot lots of images of these, I'm sure, as each section has its own distinct personality. A vivid gathering, and looks like a huge nature-salad. It's delectable! (This comment, btw, was done right now...as I prepare to go to sleep, I thought this image would be great to dream about!)
