Who me?? Soft and subtle--what next?? There are some beautiful heather gardens at the beginning of my river walk. This is just one of them.

We had a garden which was mainly fancy heather in the 70's, but I soon had a different OCD! Great pic of this beautiful carpet.

a kind of 'vast sea of heather', all plushed out & rolling (like a lush carpet—Geoaskier)...your angle allows every group to be in the limelight, and yet captures the total 'roll' of all of them along the land...lush & beautiful. And nice that you caught the dark foreground where we can see underneath these patches, and just how mysterious it is under all those heavy coats...lush work Marilyn.
