i recognize Eartha Kid she was indeed part of my youth as she kept singing in 1980's i listen to the radio station that was my HERO (as were the DJ's) in the 1980's one day a year my nabours hear me... and my music and that is 1 january i hope you listen too .. ha ha would be fun.. you will not know the music but we danced to it.. with tall girls and beerdrinking boys it were the GOLD years the link is at my image

Very nice tribute. Not one given to media I do not recognize all but do some - since as you infer they have cast a long shadow that has touched many. I did not know some had passed until now. It is a reminder of how time moves on and waits for no one. I hope you have a great and improved 2009!

Very good job on this collage! It's a shame to see our icons pass away, people we grew up with, they always seemed larger than life. An even bigger shame is to see the youth cut down in their prime. Out of all those faces the one who's absence was most noticable to me has been Tim Russert. Election coverage will never be the same. Great tribute to some grand souls that have left us.
