Description

This is one of the two images I created for a state-wide digital art contest, and is being displayed this month in the Bear Gallery, Pioneer Park, Fairbanks, Alaska. This particular one was inspired by a trip to Valdez I took right before being informed about the contest. The dog represents Gallo, a wolf-malamute mix who passed away last winter, and was "best buds" with the driver of the truck in the image. The lake represents Lake Paxson, a point somewhere between Fairbanks & Valdez... a HUGE lake. The entire trip we were looking for eagles, and only saw one.... around Lake Paxson. I made the "cooler" - that was fun LOL. the land has about 15 different ecosystems/texture zones, and a custom-created terrain.... all function & map driven - I did this in Vue 6 Pro Studio & Poser 7, mild post-work. My thanks to Peggy for her classes, because without them, I wouldn't have images hanging in a gallery... at least not YET LOL. Thanks also to Frank for starting me on this fabulous journey, and supporting me the entire way.... and to my friends who were - and still are - oh so patient with me.... thanks! you rule!

Better get a paint job before the old rust bucket falls apart ;^D This is really nice Mel and if you are fishing for some of that clear stream game in Alaska I want to go, too!!!!
