Description

This is the second image of mine that made it into the Bear Gallery, Pioneer Park, Fairbanks, Alaska. Not only did this one make it into the gallery, but it also got Honorable Mention (out of approximately 50 entries). 20 images were chosen to be displayed, with a First, Second, and Third Places and two honorable mentions (the other went to a very cute animation). I am thrilled to have received an honorable mention, and intend next year to give the first place winner a run for his money ;). This particular piece was inspired by (yep, you guessed it) the cola bears.... as well as a poignant reminder of the fragility of nature. The aurora represents hope and a brighter future. The Inua Wildwaters is a reference to the Aurora, the Spirit, and the Great Beyond/Ether (Inua is an Alaskan Native word meaning those things), and I likened the spirit to skin-housed Aurora.... thus, Inua Wildwaters ... Bottled Aurora! Anyways, enjoy... this, too was done in Poser 7 and Vue 6 Pro Studio with quite a bit of postwork as you can see ;)
